Orus Energy has obtained the Greentech Innovation label. This represents a new direction for our mission in the service of ecological transition: to free the electricity network from fossil power plants thanks to the flexibility of tertiary buildings.
Why does this label matter?
This label issued by the Ministry of Ecological Transition allows the recognition of the ecological impact of our solution but also its innovative aspect which makes it possible to combine the creation of economic and environmental value.
It highlights our software technology that enhances the GTB/GTC control systems already in place, without additional CAPEX.
The energy challenge remains
Electricity is not easily stored, which means having to ensure a constant balance in the network between production and consumption.
During peak hours in winter, the network uses gas & coal power plants. In spring and summer, GWh of solar energy are wasted because no one is there to consume them.
Therefore, activating the flexibility of buildings means avoiding these tensions on the network while compensating managers.
At Orus Energy, we are convinced that tertiary buildings have a key role to play in the energy transition. By mobilizing their flexibility, we contribute to stabilizing the network without building new power plants.
