Can I participate even if my building is poorly insulated? Will it impact occupants comfort?

Absolutely! We carefully adjust the duration and intensity of each demand-response events based on your buildings' characteristics, to maintain comfort at all times. It is our priority.

How do you connect to my buildings? Do you need a BMS? Do I keep control of my equipment?

You always have control of your equipment. We select the best connectivity solution to your BMS/BACS control system, which must already be in place, in order to automatically trigger DR actions. We offer options with gateways or 100% software-based solution to interface all BMS brands.

How much does it cost? Is there an initial investment?

Orus Energy is a completely free solution, which does not require any work or CAPEX investment.

I already have an energy manager, can I still work with you?

Definitely! We regularly collaborate with energy managers. Their deep site knowledge enables rapid development of optimized load shifting scenarios that maximize flexibility and maintain occupants comfort.

Do I need to change my electricity supplier?

No, the support you provide to the grid is independent of your electricity supply. You are paid for the balancing service provided to the grid through Orus Energy. This results in an actual income rather than a saving on your electricity bill.

How is my flexibility income calculated? What does it depend on?

It depends on your availability (around 15 to 25 days a year for full compensation), on the length of your buildings load reduction on these days, and on the flexible power made available to the grid.
Orus Energy values your actions across all capacity mechanisms (Mécapa, AOFD, reserves) and energy mechanisms (NEBEF, MA), and pays you directly, on a revenue-sharing model.

What is the actual environmental impact?

In France, the most polluting power plants only operate during consumption peaks. By reducing your consumption at these times, you prevent their activation. It is a concrete solution to limit emissions and fight climate change.
