IKEA France deploys Orus Energy nationally
Already customers since 2024, IKEA has chosen to extend the Orus Energy solution to all of its French fleet. More than 40 sites join the Orus Energy portfolio.
IKEA, a pioneer in innovation
By working with Orus Energy, IKEA is choosing to” improve the daily lives of as many people as possible ”, a vision that goes well beyond furniture for IKEA. This partnership is fully in line with their ambition to contribute actively to the energy transition.
In fact, the Orus Energy solution allows IKEA to:
- to intelligently adapt their flexible uses (heating, EV charging, etc.)
- To relieve the network at critical times
- to promote this flexibility on the electricity markets
The key role of IKEA teams
It is a key role that Facility Management teams play towards a future without fossil fuels by consuming their electricity better, i.e. at the best time. Indeed, they are the ones who make it possible to remotely control the BMS system via the installation of the Wattsense terminal and through their precise knowledge of the building they manage.
Conclusive tests
IKEA had already made the choice of electrical flexibility by entrusting its Villiers site and its 300kW of flexible power to Orus Energy. After a winter during which the site was called upon ten times, IKEA Villiers was able to save 1.2 tons of CO2 and be paid €18,000.
Building on this first success, IKEA has therefore chosen to trust Orus Energy to operate the electrical flexibility of its French fleet.
A national expansion
So more than 40 IKEA stores and depots join our circle of guardians of the electrical network, companies at the forefront of energy management, committed to taking on an immense challenge, who are, today and tomorrow, the winners and actors of this energy transition.
